The Artist Summit

The Artist Summit hands–on workshop program is open to professional makeup artist and students of makeup artistry only unless otherwise noted.

These events are at an additional fee of $95 for Workshops, $75 for TPG Pro members. Space is limited to 20 attendees and is allocated on a first–come, first–served basis.

SUNDAY OCTOBER 11 — 10:30am - 12:30pm

Danessa Myricks for I Envy
Essential Eyes
This workshop is an intensive look at the most diverse and interesting part of makeup artistry-the eyes. This amazing review of eye makeup in various forms will focus on creating smoky eyes, classic eyes, using false lashes and liner and finding unexpected ways to use color and texture. Danessa will discuss key elements in creating these looks including product review and technique.

Foundations of Makeup - Basic Color Theory, Shadow & Light

Every artist needs to understand and practice Color Theory to unlock their full artistic potential. In this workshop Kevin James Bennett introduces participants to Color Theory as it relates to makeup artistry. We will uncover the secrets behind how complexion colors are created and you will learn how to discover a person’s correct skin undertone and customize foundations to match them exactly. You will also cover how shading and highlighting using complexion colors can alter the appearance as well as correct and enhance facial features.

Bridal Artistry with Temptu Pro

Any artist who has worked a wedding understands the importance of understanding the essentials of bridal techniques. In this advanced airbrush workshop Temptu Pro Artist Danielle Fonseca will show various bridal looks that range from a soft and natural appearance to a vamped up dramatic look. In This workshop you will develop an understanding of how to achieve beautiful skin, contouring and highlighting, as well as eye shadow and eyebrow techniques. Artists will see how to work with various skin tones, tips for photography and how to make your look stay all day.

The Art and Science of Airbrush
This in depth airbrush basics workshop will present you with a review and demonstration of the range of airbrush equipment and products on the market. Orlando will provide you with the need-to-know information that will make using the equipment a breeze. You’ll be introduced to the key airbrushing techniques required for hi-def beauty and body makeup as well as incorporating airbrush in to your daily makeup application.

Using Color Everyday

Makeup master Johnny Lavoy is known for his artistry and the ease with which he incorporates color in to his applications. In this workshop Johnny will explain how to elevate your makeup beyond the browns and neutrals and lead you through an application so you become comfortable with an unlimited palette at every opportunity, and to appropriately use color in everyday beauty and event makeup applications to make your work and your client stand out.

This event is designed to help you better understand the details that make a makeup camera ready. Kathy Aragon will take you through the techniques required to transform any makeup for photography and develop your editorial eye. Kathy will reveal the product and tools that can be used and share her personal procedures as well as explore the precision required for photographic applications.

This event is a concentrated look at color correction, concealing, foundation and contour and how to perfect those techniques with various products. Daven will Concentrate on developing an understanding of various foundation, powder and concealer types and formulations, their effects and versatility as well as exploring methods for shaping and contouring and shaping the face to bring out the best of your clients features.

Celebrity Beauty
In this workshop celebrity makeup artist, Johnny Lavoy, demonstrates the application, techniques and product choices that have made him the favorite of celebrities, editors, and art directors. Learn how to take your beauty makeup application and develop it into your own signature style that your clients will be clamoring for.
