This year, The Powder Group is thrilled to once again be a part of the biggest pro beauty show on the East coast, Premiere Orlando!

TPG will be there with three days of live education focused on makeup artistry and pro beauty career development. Every one of the 9 sessions we will be presenting are exclusively available and free to attend for attendees of Premiere Orlando! Please note that Saturday, June 1 is an education-only day. The show floor is not open on that day.

    Understanding the nuances of working in photography is a critical part of every makeup artists skill set. Whether bridal, men’s grooming, commercial or editorial photography. In this session, makeup artist and photographer, Ilde Goncalves will help you understand how become adept at understanding how the camera reads makeup so you can create perfected looks for still photographed work. This program is what every artist who works with photographers needs to up their game and be sure every shot is a perfect shot.

    A truly perfected makeup and hair look for print and video commercial work requires more than simply using a clean look. Understanding the design and decision-making process for creating a truly successful makeup look is more important than ever did to the demand of today’s cameras and client needs. In this session, Antonym Cosmetics Founder, Valerie Giraud, will take attendees through technique, tools and product choices to create one of the most financially lucrative areas of work in pro beauty.

    Orlando Santiago Orlando Santiago - Editorial Artistry Explored
    Creating a stylized and nuanced makeup look, whether for editorial or simply a look that is raised artistically to that level for print, digital, red carpet or even bridal, requires an approach for designing work critical to the success of the look. In this design and technique focused session, internationally celebrated makeup artist Orlando Santiago will discuss and demonstrate his ideal product and technique choices required for makeup for this important and lucrative focus of makeup work.

    Melanie Mills Melanie Mills - Elevated Beauty
    Emmy Award winning makeup artist and The Makeup Altar founder, Melanie Mills will take attendees through a focus on creating elevated, perfected artistry from head to toe. Melanie will focus on skin prep, complexion, use of color products for lips, eyes and face, and body makeup products that will turn every makeup look, and every client, into the most elevated version of themselves with products including Danessa Myricks Beauty, Cozzette and ESUM Cosmetics.

    Marietta Carter-Narcise Marietta Carter-Narcisse - Makeup For Film (instead of Beauty)
    In an industry where everything is being filmed - from motion pictures and video to bridal and red carpet events, understanding working within the realm of film is critical for all artists success. In this session, renowned film makeup artist Marietta Carter-Narcisse (A Jazzman’s Blues, Eve’s Bayou, What’s Love Got To Do With It) will take attendees through the process of design and application when creating makeup designs for film. The session will include a focus on understanding client needs, designing, applying and maintaining beauty makeup for film along with product and technique discussion and demonstration.

    Dee Rouzan Dee Rouzan - Bridal Beauty Now Today’s modern bridal client is looking for more than just the most perfected version of herself. In this artistry focused session, Faces of Virtue founder, Dee Rouzan will takes attendees though the what, when, why and how of elevated makeup design with a major focus on the skin care, client experience, products and process that will create the perfect bridal beauty look for every client, every time across every global skin tone.

    Andrew Velázquez Andrew Velázquez - Red Carpet Makeup Artistry
    Celebrity makeup artist Andrew Velázquez will explore the secrets of artistry for creating glamorous and modern red carpet looks. We’ll cover skin care to complexion and the nuances of highlight and contour, to color theory and the choosing and applying of color products to create a range of timeless, long wearing, beauty looks. Whether for a red carpet event or creating the most red-carpet ready bridal look, this program is for every artist looking to elevate their work in beauty. Andrew will demonstrate the essential products and techniques for this area of work and attendees will then participate in a hands-on workshop, working on each other as models.

    Jalia Pettis Jalia Pettis - Understanding Melanin Rich Complexion
    The importance of makeup artistry as it relates to people of color is of vital importance as a beauty industry professional. Understanding how to navigate multiple tones in skin that has more or less melanin is key. The ability to create a clean beauty look is an integral part of our repertoire as Makeup Artists. This program withe beauty expert Jalia Pettis will provide step-by-step technique in creating a seamless look for global skin tones.
