In this full-day, multi-session program, celebrity hairstylist and makeup artist Daven Mayeda will present three unique programs focused on three different areas of specialization: Advertising & Commercial, Celebrity & Red Carpet, Fashion & Editorial. Each session of the program will delve into the business aspect of each area of work with Michael DeVellis joining Daven for these career-focused discussions. Each session also include makeup and hairstyling demonstrations partnered with discussion of technique and the nuances of working with clients in each area of the areas of specialization. Daven Mayeda
Daven began as a hairstylist and makeup artist working on the island of Oahu, Hawai'i. He relocated to Los Angeles to pursue his dreams to work in commercials, celebrity, tv, and print. Once in LA, Daven continued to hone his craft and learn the ropes to the industry by assist some of the most renown Hairstylists and Makeup artists in the business. Daven began educating and eventually got signed to The Celestine Agency. Daven continues to work doing fashion and celebrity editorials, album covers, music videos, advertising campaigns and television appearances.  To date, he has worked with musicians and celebrities as Adele, Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Henry Rollins, Shay Mitchell and Erin Andrews.  Daven also works as social media and product consultant for numerous beauty brands.

Kristina-Monique Cortez
Kristina-Monique Cortez is an accomplished makeup artist and bi-coastal educator working with industry giants such as MAC, MUD and Sebastian’s professional make-up line, Trucco. Working with celebrities, in film, television, editorial, platform work, fashion and education. She helped create the first-ever Make-Up Program in the San Diego area with Bellus Academy and Make-Up Designory. Kristina-Monique takes the place as Make-up Lead which has allowed her to motivate aspiring artists to embrace both the creative and business aspects of the make-up industry. She has inspired thousands of students under the philosophy that make-up artistry is the gateway to making others see themselves from a more confident perspective.
